Yes, attitudes change, but people are

Hire for Attitude – Train for skills

Selecting people with the right service character traits has never been more
important and most people agree that you should hire for attitude and train for skill.
Knowledge and skills can be taught but if someone lacks the essential core service character traits it’s unlikely they will ever be the type of naturally service-focused employee you really need.
And if you have recruited people with the wrong character traits, they could easily undermine or damage the good work done by others. Getting this right can make a massive difference to internal culture, staff retention, ease of training, team working, customer loyalty, and overall business success.

But knowing how important this is and being able to effectively do something about
it are very different things. SEALS have therefore developed a selection system
that is simple to operate yet delivers dramatic results and can be adapted for use by
any trained person in any business.

Character Trait Recognition
 – Finding people with a Natural Talent for Great Service

The SEALS Character Trait Recognition system is called STARSTM, which stands for Service Talent Advanced Recruitment System.  It has been specifically developed to identify people with the right natural talents for great service delivery. It has also been designed so that it can be adapted specifically to match your organisation's unique cultural, service delivery and job specific needs.

Sound and Proven Techniques and Methodology

Throughout the design process we have been assisted by Professor Adrian
Furnham of University College London. He
is one of Europe's most knowledgeable academics on this subject.  He has helped to ensure we’ve got it absolutely right
and that the techniques we use are based on sound academic research and
proven best practice.
